Are you thinking of renovating a kitchen? This is an excellent time, because among the various incentives available for home renovation there are also those related to the renewal of furniture and large kitchen appliances. Let’s see in more detail what incentives are available and how to take advantage of them.
Take Advantage of the Furniture Bonus 2023
The Furniture Bonus, like other Home Renovation Bonuses, has been extended to 2023 and 2024. Thanks to the Furniture Bonus, it is possible to benefit from a 50% deduction on the expense incurred to purchase furniture for a home to be renovated, or in ordinary maintenance work. This Bonus also provides special deductions reserved for the kitchen: you can access it by purchasing new furniture and large appliances not lower than class A for ovens, class E for washing machines, dishwashers and washer-dryers, class F for freezers and refrigerators. The amount to be deducted also includes expenses related to transport and assembly. Compared to 2022, however, there are changes. In the previous year, in fact, the deduction threshold was €8,000, while this year it has been brought to €5,000, to be deducted starting from 2024. The amount to be recovered will therefore be divided into ten annual installments of equal amount.
Who is the Furniture Bonus 2023 Intended For
The Furniture Bonus works as a deduction, which is obtained by indicating the expenses incurred in the tax return with the 730 or with the Individual Income Tax Return model. The deduction to be indicated in the tax return is due to the taxpayer who benefits from it. For example: if the expenses for renovating a property are incurred by one spouse and those for furnishing by another, neither of them will be able to benefit from the deduction.
Property owners subject to renovation, holders of real or personal rights of enjoyment on the properties in question, or those who incur expenses as owners, or bare owners, as well as holders of real rights of enjoyment (use, usufruct, habitation or surface rights) can benefit from the Kitchen Bonus.
