It’s important to specify that there is no specific bonus for roof renovation, but roof renovation interventions can be included in other tax bonuses such as:

  • The Superbonus: in 2023 this tax deduction goes from 110% to 90%. To obtain it, it will be necessary to carry out:

a) Thermal insulation interventions on 25% of the opaque horizontal, vertical, and inclined surfaces of the building, which delimit the heated volume. Roof insulation works fall into this category.
b) Renovation works that involve improving the building’s energy efficiency by at least 2 energy classes.

  • Ecobonus 65%: for energy requalification works on single dwellings and condominiums, up to 65% tax deduction can be requested.
  • Sismabonus: this incentive has also been extended. It is intended for those who want to carry out construction works to prevent the risk of collapses and damage related to a seismic event. Roof renovation works, if actually based on anti-seismic criteria, can also fall into this category. The tax deduction will vary depending on the interventions carried out.
  • Renovation Bonus 50%: this incentive includes all ordinary and extraordinary maintenance works of a building. It will be possible to deduct 50% of the expense incurred from IRPEF in ten annual installments.
